Terms of Service

By accessing or using CoCreate ("the platform", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

CoCreate is currently in public beta. Features may change and we appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to build.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account on CoCreate. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately close their account and delete their data without notice.

You must not create an account on behalf of another person without their consent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information during registration and to keep your profile accurate over time.

You must not share your account credentials with any other person. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

You retain full ownership of all content you create and post on CoCreate, including posts, photos, videos, bios, and profile information.

By posting content, you grant CoCreate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and store your content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and providing the service to you and other users.

This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where your content has been shared or interacted with by others (for example, a repost), in which case those copies may persist until the reposting user removes them.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, misleading, infringing, or in violation of our Community Guidelines.

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Impersonate any person, entity, or brand, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation
• Harass, bully, threaten, abuse, or harm other users
• Post hate speech, content that discriminates against protected characteristics, or content that incites violence
• Post sexually explicit, exploitative, or illegal content
• Post content that promotes scams, pyramid schemes, phishing, or financial exploitation
• Distribute spam, bulk messaging, or unsolicited commercial communications
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the platform without written permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, its infrastructure, or other users' accounts
• Post false or misleading information about yourself, your credentials, or your creative work
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Upload malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the platform

Violations may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, at our sole discretion.

The CoCreate platform, including its design, logo, codebase, and brand identity, is the intellectual property of CoCreate and is protected by applicable copyright and trade mark laws.

You represent that any content you post does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party, including copyright, trade mark, or other proprietary rights.

Copyright complaints: If you believe content on CoCreate infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to CoCreatePlatform@hotmail.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work; (b) identification of the infringing content and its location on the platform; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised; and (e) a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.

We will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content, issuing a warning, or suspending the account.

CoCreate facilitates introductions between creators. We are not responsible for the outcome of any collaboration, agreement, arrangement, or transaction that takes place between users.

Any creative, financial, or contractual arrangement you enter into with another creator is solely between you and that individual or organisation. CoCreate is not a party to those arrangements and accepts no liability for them.

We strongly recommend reviewing any collaboration terms in writing before commencing work.

We review reports from users and may take the following actions at our discretion: remove or hide content; issue a warning; temporarily suspend an account; permanently terminate an account; or refer matters to law enforcement.

We aim to act fairly and consistently, guided by our Community Guidelines. If you believe action was taken against your account in error, you may appeal by contacting us at CoCreatePlatform@hotmail.com.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, or our Community Guidelines. We will endeavour to notify you where it is appropriate and safe to do so.

CoCreate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, the accuracy of any user-generated content, or the conduct of any user on the platform.

We are not responsible for any collaboration agreements, creative arrangements, payments, or disputes between users.

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, CoCreate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of CoCreate after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
